Term 4 Week 1

To penetrate my nature's depths:
This longing stirs me, full of promise,
That self beholding I may find
My self as gift of Summer's sun:
A seed that lives on, warming fall:
Creative force within my soul.

From The Calendar of the Soul by Rudolf Steiner

Kinder News

Dear Kinder parents,

I trust you all had a lovely break.

Please find a note regarding the term in your parent pockets. I hope this will help with orientating us all to the term ahead.

We have had a lovely start to the week, even with day light savings with us, those first few wakes ups are always hard!

The children appear very happy to be together again.

 Warm regards, Tobie

Class 1 News

Welcome back everybody!

We are beginning our Term with our class play which is the story of a little boy who is “golden in spirit”. Our play will be held on Thursday 1st of November and the children will be learning the story during Main Lesson each day this term. We will of course be weaving other elements of language, literacy and numeracy into this lovely tale.

The class will continue to enjoy soup on Wednesday’s each week for the next few weeks. Following this we may move to bread and salad. The children adore making the bread and we want to continue this for them for the rest of this term.

I appreciate the efforts everyone is making to arrive on time. It is fantastic, please keep it up.

Warm regards, Anne

Parents & Friends

Thank you for all your efforts getting ready for the Fair.  It’s lovely to see the threads coming together.  The hampers are starting to take shape and they are looking like fabulous raffle prizes full of thoughtful, indulgent and delicious treats.

Look out for our Spring Fair News leaflet which will come home this week.  The leaflet has a link to the roster.  We are asking for a minimum commitment of 1 hour for each parent.  Hopefully this will allow families to spend time together on the day and juggle rosters and young children.  However super volunteers are also very welcome.

Go to

You’re free to do your shift in any area, not limited to your class activity. Getting in quickly will save us a lot of follow up time.

If you have fish and dip treasures or quality second hand clothes to donate it would be great to get those in the next two weeks.  Also it’s not too late to apply for a market stall.  Please contact me if you’re interested.

Lastly, Hermione from class 5 will shortly contact class carers seeking baking volunteers for the tea and cake stall.    Please let your carer know if you’re keen to volunteer.

With love

Family seeks "Big Heart" for help at home.

Are you patient, understanding and someone that has a lot of experience with kids? Are you looking for some casual work?

We are two very committed parents using alternative treatments and behavioural therapy to fully recover our daughter from autism. It seems to be working so far, but we need help!

We are seeking a motivated person with a BIG HEART to welcome into our home for a couple of hours each weekday to do some basic therapy with our daughter.

You will:

  • Be based in Castlemaine
  • Give a 6-12 month commitment (to maintain consistency)
  • Receive an hourly rate (to be negotiated)
  • Be part of a loving and committed family

We will teach you simple strategies to help our daughter. No therapy experience necessary!

Please call Luke (Dad) if you’re interested on 0418 100 972.

We look forward to hearing from you. J

Come along and join us for some clay fun.  Be quick, or you will miss out!
